GAZA, June 27 (YPA) – A number of Palestinian citizens, mostly children and women, were killed, and others were injured, on Thursday morning, due to the ongoing aggression of the occupation on Gaza Strip for the 265th day, local sources said.
According to the sources, the Israeli occupation bombardment targeted al-Alami area in the Jabalia refugee camp, the largest of the Gaza Strip’s eight refugee camps, resulting in the killing of at least six people and injuring others.
Ambulance crews retrieved the body of a martyr from a bombing that targeted a house belonging to the Wadi family in Beit Lahia Project area.
The same sources added that ambulance crews retrieved the bodies of at least two martyrs and several injuries from the Israeli warplanes’ targeting of four houses in the Sabra neighborhood of Gaza City, with still others missing under the rubble.
In Khan Yunis, several citizens including children and women were killed, and others injured in the Israeli shelling of the Al-Khansaa School hosting displaced persons in the town of Abasan Al-Kabira to the east.
Israeli warplanes also launched an airstrike on a house belonging to the Wahidi family on Al-Maghribi Street in the Sabra neighborhood of Gaza City, resulting in injuries.
Additionally, Israeli artillery targeted the neighborhoods of Al-Zaytoun, Tal Al-Hawa, and Sheikh Ajleen in Gaza City, with smoke rising from the targeted areas.
An intensive artillery shelling was also reported around the vicinity of Wadi Gaza Bridge north of Al-Nusairat refugee camp in central Gaza Strip.
Israeli forces continued demolishing residential buildings west of Rafah city in southern Gaza Strip, as thick smoke seen rising in the area.
Israeli drones continued flying intensively at low altitudes over Gaza City airspace.
