SANAA, June 08 (YPA) – Leader of the Yemeni revolution, Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, affirmed that Muslims suffer greatly with regard to being able to perform the Hajj due to the restrictions, procedures, and complications that Saudi regime practices towards Muslims.

This came during a speech that he made on Saturday on the occasion of the beginning of the holy month of Dhul-Hijjah, in which he said that “there is trading by the Saudi regime in the Hajj obligation, pointing out that it has no right to blackmail the pilgrims.”

“The levies imposed by the Saudi regime on pilgrims are merely blackmail, exploitation, and forbidden gain that it is not needed,” Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi explained, “The Saudi regime is not satisfied with the continued and enormous resources of oil, and goes on to deal with the House of Allah as a financial resource.”

Leader Al-Houthi affirmed that “controlling Mecca does not give any party the legitimacy to act as it wishes.”

“We in Yemen are a country neighboring the country of the Two Holy Mosques, however, most Yemenis find the issue of Hajj is a complex issue in its procedures, arrangements, and financial cost, al-Sayyed al-Houthi noted.

He pointed out that those who call themselves the “Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques” are exploiting the Two Holy Mosques to obtain very huge sums of money and to blackmail people.

The leader also stressed that the narrow Wahhabi sectarian view the Saudi regime is imposes on the performance of the Hajj, in additional, its political orientation that undermines all Hajj rituals and does not enhance Islamic brotherhood and does not consolidate the Islamic position on the enemies of the nation.

He continued, saying: “The Saudi regime arrested pilgrims from multiple countries while they performing Hajj rituals in the Holy Land.”

“There is no legitimacy to the Saudi regime in its unjust and wrong restrictions and procedures that hinder most Muslims from performing the Hajj, Sayyed al-Houthi added, indicating that the restrictions, the unjust procedures and security risks that Saudi regime has imposed are all falling under the title of “Blocking the Grand Sacred Mosque.”

He added: “If conditions had been created for the nation to perform the Hajj in uncomplicated circumstances, it would have had a very significant impact on the reality of Muslims at all levels.”
