Hamdan: The ball is in Netanyahu’s court

BEIRUT, May 08 (YPA) – Hamas official, Osama Hamdan, affirmed on Tuesday that the military operation in Rafah, if carried out by Israel, will not be a picnic for the (Israeli) army.

Hamdan’s remarks came during a press conference held in the Lebanese capital Beirut.

Regarding Hamas’ acceptance of the proposal presented by mediators in Egypt and Qatar, Hamdan said: “It came as a result of long, difficult, complex, and ongoing negotiations over the past weeks and months.”

“The ball is in Netanyahu’s court,” he added, saying that the latest ceasefire proposal which Hamas agreed to “represents the minimum that responds to the demands of our people and our resistance.”
