US dollar records tremendous rise in southern Yemen

ADEN, Feb. 27 (YPA) – The exchange markets in Aden and the southern and eastern provinces under the control of the Saudi-led coalition witnessed on Tuesday a dramatic rise in the price of the dollar in light of a frightening deterioration of the local currency.

Banking sources reported that the exchange rate of one dollar in Aden reached 1,693 riyals, while the price of the Saudi riyal reached 445 Yemeni riyals.

Meanwhile, the exchange rate of the dollar in Sanaa and the provinces under the control of the Supreme Political Council reached 530 riyals to the dollar and 140 riyals to the Saudi riyal.
