Yemeni armed forces hit British oil ship in Gulf of Aden, causing it to burn
SANAA, Jan. 26 (YPA) – The Yemeni Armed Forces announced on Friday evening the targeting of a British oil ship in the Gulf of Aden with a number of appropriate naval missiles.
The official spokesman for the armed forces, Brigadier General Yahya Sarie, explained in a statement that the naval forces of the Yemeni armed forces targeted the British oil ship “MARLIN LUANDA” in the Gulf of Aden, and the hit was direct, which led to its burning.
He stated that the action is in support of the oppressed Palestinian people and is part of a response to US-British aggression against Yemen.
The spokesman confirmed that Yemeni armed forces would continue to conduct operations in the Red Sea and Arabian Sea against Israeli ships or those heading to occupied Palestinian ports until the aggression ends and food and medicine are brought to the besieged Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
