Sanaa condemns killing of eight Yemeni fishermen by fire from Israeli ship protection coalition
SANAA, Jan. 27 (YPA) – The Ministry of Fisheries in the caretaker government in Sanaa condemned on Friday the crime committed by international forces in the Red Sea against a number of Yemeni fishermen.
In a statement, the ministry denounced the killing of eight fishermen from Al-Khawkha district of Hodeida province after being subjected to deliberate gunfire while practicing the fishing profession in territorial waters.
The ministry condemned the continued hostile practices by the factions loyal to the UAE and Saudi Arabia, in addition to the US-led coalition to protect Israeli ships, and the use of force and threats against fishermen.
The statement considered the heinous crime to which the fishermen were subjected a blatant and serious violation of international humanitarian law and human rights.
