SANAA, Jan. 21 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology has expected scattered rains on a number of Yemeni provinces during the next 24 hours.
In its weather bulletin on Sunday, the center pointed out the possibility of rain falling on parts of Hajjah, Mahweet, Rayma, Ibb, Taiz and the western coasts.
The center reported that the weather will be cold in Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar, Bayda, Hajjah, Mahweet, Raymah, Ibb, Taiz, Dhalea, Lahj, Abyan, and Jawf, in addition to Marib, Shabwa, Hadramout and Mahra.
It affirmed that moderate to strong winds may target the western coasts, the entrance to Bab al-Mandab, and around the Socotra Archipelago, ranging its speeds between 15 and 30 knots.
The center warned citizens, especially the elderly, children and patients, in mountainous areas and inland plateaus, against the cold weather.
