TEHRAN, Jan. 03 (YPA) – At least 73 people were killed and more than 100 others were injured in a terrorist bombing outside the shrine of Qassem Soleimani in the Iranian province of Kerman on Wednesday.
According to official security sources, the incident was triggered by two backpacks containing explosives.
The Iranian authorities announced that the explosion was the result of a terrorist operation and left about 73 dead and 105 injured, an infinite toll.
Tasnim News Agency quoted security sources as saying that the explosions were not suicide bombings but were carried out by two bags with explosive devices inside them.
Today, Wednesday, marks the fourth anniversary of Soleimani’s killing at the airport in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, along with Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, deputy head of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces, and their comrades.
