Zionist enemy arrests 55 Palestinians in West Bank

OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Dec. 26 (YPA) – The Zionist enemy detained from yesterday evening until Tuesday morning, about 55 Palestinians, including three women and two journalists, in various areas in the West Bank, bringing the number of arrests since the seventh of October to 4,785 Palestinians.

The Palestinian Prisoner Club said in a statement that the arrests were concentrated in the governorates of Bethlehem, Hebron, Nablus, Ramallah, Tulkarm and Tubas.

The statement added that the arrests campaign was accompanied by widespread break-ins and harassment in cities, towns and camps, as well as severe beatings, threats against detainees and their families, widespread vandalism and destruction in citizens’ homes, and the detention of citizens as hostages.

The number of arrests included those who were arrested from their homes and through military checkpoints and those who were forced to surrender under pressure.
