US reveals int’l coalition to be formed to confront Yemen’s support to Gaza

AL-QUDS, Dec. 18 (YPA) – US Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin, revealed on Monday that his country is seeking to form an international coalition to confront Yemen’s support to Gaza and its attacks on ships of Israeli entity.

This came during a news conference held with the Minister of War of the Israeli Occupation Army, Yoav Gallant, in Tel Aviv.

“We are working to form an international coalition to intervene to prevent any attacks in the Red Sea region,” Austin said.

He went on to say: “We will hold a remote meeting with the defense ministers of several countries tomorrow to discuss the measures that can be taken to confront the threats resulting from the actions of the Houthis.”

Austin affirmed that his country would do everything necessary to ensure freedom of maritime navigation in the Bab al-Mandab Strait.
