6 people killed, injured due to explosion in Abyan

ABYAN, Dec. 09 (YPA) -Six people were killed and injured on Saturday in an explosion that rocked the city of Zunjbar, the center of Abyan province, controlled by the coalition factions in southern Yemen.

According to local sources in the city, a grenade exploded at the house of citizen Mohammed Ali Aqil in Al-Maraqid neighborhood of eastern Zunjbar, killing him, his mother and one of his children was next to him, while his wife and two daughters were seriously injured.

The sources explained that the child pulled the bomb in his father’s shirt and tampered with it to explode in the middle of the house, indicating that the incident caused horror and panic among the people of the area.

The sources pointed out that the people came to the house and took the injured to the MSF hospital in Aden to receive the treatment.
