GAZA, Nov. 27 (YPA) – The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas confirmed on Sunday that it seeks to “extend the truce after the end of the four-day period, by serious research to increase the number of released detainees as stated in the humanitarian truce agreement.
Agence France-Presse had quoted a source close to Hamas as saying: The movement informed the mediators of the resistance factions’ agreement to extend the current truce.
The source added: “We expect that the resistance can secure the release of between 20 and 40 of the ‘Israeli’ prisoners.”
In turn, the Zionist enemy’s media outlets quoted their sources as saying: “Extending the ceasefire for at least two days is possible.”
Reuters reported, citing an informed Qatari official, that a Qatari delegation visited Israeli entity on Saturday to discuss the possible extension of the four-day truce between Hamas and Israel, which began on Friday.
On Saturday, Egypt announced that it had received positive signals from all parties to extend the period of the truce declared in the Gaza Strip.
