Israel occupation drops about 40,000 tons of explosives on Gaza

GAZA, Nov. 26 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation has dropped about 40,000 tons of explosives on the residential areas during its aggression against the Gaza Strip.

Salama Maarouf, the head of the Hamas government office in Gaza, said on Sunday that the days of the truce revealed the extent of the great massacre committed by the Israeli occupation.

Maarouf told Al Jazeera TV that the occupation forces caused great destruction to infrastructure and homes, explaining that “the bombs that the occupation used recently had not been used before.”

He pointing out that “the occupation’s crimes occurred away from the eyes of the cameras, especially the communication with the outside world was difficult.”

“Hundreds of martyrs were buried in the places of their martyrdom,” Maarouf added. “The number of children killed in Gaza exceeds their number in all conflicts in the world.”

Earlier, the New York Times, quoting an American military official, said that Israel dropped two bombs, each weighing more than 900 kilograms, in an air strike on Jabalia area of Gaza on October 31. The official added that 90% of Israel’s bombs on Gaza were guided by satellites, and some of them weigh more than 900 kilograms.
