North Korea: Washington tramples on peace and stability in Europe

WORLD, Nov. 14 (YPA) – Choe Chol Su, head of the Department of International Organizations at the North Korean Foreign Ministry, said that by supplying Ukraine with internationally banned weapons, the United States is trampling on stability and peace in Europe.

“The United States continues to supply the Ukrainian front with lethal weapons, including cluster bombs and depleted uranium shells, the use of which is prohibited under international law, thus trampling on peace and stability in Europe,” he told the North’s KCNA news agency.

UK and the United States want to prolong the conflict in Ukraine by supplying Kiev with depleted uranium missiles, winged missiles with a range of more than 250 kilometers, including Storm Shadow, and anti-tank weapons.

On the other hand, he pointed out that Russia has been trying for 30 years to reach an agreement with NATO on the principles of security in Europe, “but it has met in response either with deception and lies, or with attempts at pressure and blackmail, while the alliance is expanding steadily and approaching Russia’s borders.”

Pyongyang has condemned US Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s warnings of its rapprochement with Moscow, stressing that these warnings only exacerbate serious political and military tension on the Korean Peninsula.
