Leaders in STC factions survive assassination attempt in Abyan

ABYAN, Nov. 07 (YPA) – Leaders and elements of the UAE-backed “Southern Transitional Council” factions survived on Tuesday an assassination attempt in Abyan province.

Local sources said that “unknown gunmen failed to target two military vehicles belonging to the transitional factions in Abyan axis after passing through Maodiya district in the east of the province”.

The militants detonated two explosive devices during the passage of the vehicles belonging to the factions of the “eighth brigade” boarded by leaders without any material and human losses among the elements, the sources added.
