5 magnitude earthquake hits Khorasan city in Iran

SANAA, Oct. 31 (YPA) – An earthquake with a magnitude of five on the Richter Scale hit “Shusef” area of the city of Birjand, the center of South Khorasan Province (eastern Iran).

The Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) quoted the seismological center of the Geophysical institution of the University of Tehran on Tuesday, saying that the earthquake with a magnitude of five degrees Richter and hit this area, at 12:43 minutes and 40 seconds and at a depth of seven km.

The center confirmed that so far no possible damage from this earthquake has been reported.
