Power outages spark state of outrage in Shabwa

SHABWA, Oct. 29 (YPA) – Shabwa governorate on Sunday witnessed a state of anger due to the return of power outages.

Local sources said that citizens in the districts of Ataq, As Said, Nisab, and parts of the eastern districts complained of frequent power outages, in a way they have not seen for a while, as the hours of outage  exceeded 21 hours a day.

A source in the province’s power station revealed that the decision to increase the number of hours of power outage came as a result of the lack of diesel, and not because of the increasing loads as claimed by officials in the province.
