ADEN, Oct. 23 (YPA) – Yemen’s southern port city of Aden, which is under the control of the Saudi-led coalition forces, will witness an imminent catastrophe in the coming hours without any action by the pro-coalition government, according to a statement issued by Aden electricity corporation on Monday.
The city’s electricity corporation said that 70% of Petro Masila station is out of service due to running out of fuel.
The statement explained that the remaining fuel at the station is not enough to operate the generating stations for a few hours.
It further explained that the station’s cessation of electricity generation would plunge the city into complete darkness without any intervention from the pro-coalition government.
In its statement, the corporation appealed to the “Presidential Leadership Council” and the pro-coalition government to intervene urgently to provide fuel for power stations.
