WORLD, Oct. 22 (YPA) – An earthquake measuring 5.2 magnitude on the Richter scale struck the state of Guerrero in southern Mexico, The National Seismological Service in Mexico reported on the social media network.
According to the statement, the epicenter of the earthquake occurred 57 kilometers southeast of the city of San Marcos, which has a population of about 13.3 thousand people.
The epicenter of the tremors was at a depth of 10 kilometers.
The authority confirmed that it had not received any reports of injuries or material damage.
At the same time, the European Mediterranean Seismological Center reported, in a statement, that a 5.2-magnitude earthquake was recorded in Nepal near the border with India.
According to the statement, the epicenter of the earthquake was 65 kilometers west of the capital of Nepal – the city of Kathmandu, with a population of about 1.44 million people.
The epicenter of the tremors was at a depth of 14 kilometers.
There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
