Protests near US Capitol call for ending Israeli aggression on Gaza

WORLD, Oct. 21 (YPA) – US Congressman Marjorie Taylor Green said security measures at the Capitol in Washington have been tightened on Friday due to possible demonstrations.

“We have been warned against rioting,” said Marjorie Taylor Green. In the meantime, a number of organizations have called for another march in support of a ceasefire in Gaza, she added.

“Security measures around the Capitol have been increased again due to possible demonstrations.”

A rallyin support of eding the aggression on Gaza  was announced on Friday by many organizers such as IfNotNow and Jewish Voice for Peace.

Jewish Voice for Peace said it estimated that 10,000 people took part in anti-war protests in Washington, 500 of whom were arrested.

Earlier, a protest was staged by activists, including members of the Jewish Voice for Peace, near the Capitol compound, during which dozens of demonstrators infiltrated a building and Capitol police arrested those who stormed the building and forced demonstrators to leave nearby streets.
