HODEIDA, Oct. 10 (YPA) – A United Nations helicopter landed at Hodeida International Airport on Tuesday, in the second test landing since the airport went out of service in 2015 as a result of bombing of the coalition.
Hodeida governor, Mohammed Ayyash Quhim, in the presence of a member of the redeployment committee in the Sanaa forces, Maj. Gen. Mohammed al-Qadiri, and the official of the UN mission, stressed the importance of the positive role of the United Nations to support the rehabilitation and maintenance of the damage which the airport was exposed as a result of its targeting by coalition warplanes, to alleviate the suffering of patients and travelers.
The governor expressed his readiness to provide all facilities to the UN mission to implement its humanitarian activities and tasks.
