WORLD, Oct. 03 (YPA) – The Iranian security forces have confiscated a series of telecommunication equipment exploited by a foreign spy service with the purpose of creating riots in the southeastern city of Zahedan, Fars News Agency reported.
According to the agency, the Iranian security forces have foiled a plot to foment unrest in Zahedan on the anniversary of a riot in the predominantly Sunni city.
A foreign spy service had been planning, in cooperation with the terrorist Mujahedin-e-Khalq Organization (MKO), to recreate riots in Zahedan, the agency said.
The Iranian security forces managed to seize the telecom devices and arrest five individuals in connection with the plot.
