Two killed, one injured in gas cylinder explosion in Sanaa

SANAA, Oct. 03 (YPA) – A woman and her child have died and her husband was injured on Monday when a domestic  gas cylinder exploded inside their home in the Dar Selm area of Sanhan district, Sanaa governorate.

Civil Defense Authority explained in a statement that after receiving the report, the rescue teams immediately moved to scene. They confirmed the death the citizen Ghada Ali Ahmed Al-Nasiri, the wife of Wassim Ahmed Naji Al-Farah, who suffered burns on his body and parts of his face. Their son Ahmed died of injuries in the explosion of the gas cylinder.

The victims of the explosion were taken to Al-Jumhury Hospital in the capital, Sanaa, the authority said.

The Civil Defense Authority renewed its call on citizens to take security and public safety measures, not to leave domestic gas cylinders open and make a  proper ventilation of the house in order to preserve their safety.
