Families of detainees in Fourth Brigade affillated with coalition hold protest in Lahj

LAHJ, Sept. 21 (YPA) – The families of detainees in the Fourth Brigade staged a vigil on the Taiz-Aden road on Wednesday,  in protest against the continued detention of their relatives for the third month in a row and the judicial authorities’ disregard for their continuous appeals.

The Taiz-Aden Road was blocked as a result of the protest, which lasted for several hours, according to a local source.

A recent memorandum revealed that Tur Al Bahah District security chief loyal to the Saudi-led coalition rebelled against court orders over a bandit affiliated with Jabouli.

Local sources indicated that the director of security Mansour Al-Wudoudi – appointed by Jabouli – refused to obey the orders of prosecution to arrest an outlaw gang practicing banditry and killing. The brother of the Islah leader Brigadier General Abu Bakr Jabouli is a member of this gang.

The Lahj Governorate Police Department referred the prosecution’s order to Sheikh Hamdi Shukri after director of Tur Al-Baha rejected the order and failed to carry out his job duties.

The prosecution had issued compelling orders against four defendants accused of banditry, including Alawi Jabouli and others close to the commander of the so-called Fourth Mountain Brigade.

Ruling orders were issued against Mansour Al-Bir, Alawi Al-Jabouli, Badie Mhard, Mohib Al-Somali and others. Most of them are accused of horrific violations against the people of Al-Maqatirah district.
