3.8 magnitude earthquake hits east of Tunisia

SANAA, Sept. 20 (YPA) – An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.8 on the Richter Scale struck on Wednesday off the coast of Monastir and Sousse cities,(eastern)Tunisia.

This came in a statement issued by the National Institute of atmospheric monitoring (government), published on his account on the network “Facebook”.

“The seismic monitoring stations of the National Institute of meteorological observations recorded a ground tremor, Wednesday, at 03 and 35 minutes (02.35 Teg), with a magnitude of 3.8 on the Richter Scale off the coast of Sousse and Monastir cities”, the statement said.

The institute added that the epicenter of the tremor was located off the coast of Sousse and Monastir, without reports of losses.
