Yemeni recruits attempt suicide in Saudi camp
HADRAMOUT, Sept. 10 (YPA) – Saudi Arabia has expelled dozens of Yemeni recruits who were working in the ranks of its forces on the eastern borders of Yemen.
Saudi forces’ command has expelled approximately 600 recruits from the special tasks brigade camp in the Al-Wadiah border area without approving their dues for nearly two years, despite promises that have gone unheeded, according to informed sources.
The sources stated that one of the recruits from Taiz province attempted to commit suicide inside the camp due to procrastination in paying his dues and debts he had accumulated to his family.
The command of the brigade demanded that the recruits leave the camp within three days without paying their dues and had sent the recruits out into the open and paid each of them an amount of 5,000 Yemeni riyals after the lack of their food, the sources added.
Saudi Arabia seeks to hand over the special tasks camp to the ‘Dera Al-Watan’ factions that recruited them from the extremist Salafist groups led by Bashir Al-Mudharibi Al-Subaihi.
