ABYAN, Sept. 10 (YPA) – Four citizens were killed and others injured on Sunday in armed clashes in Abyan province, which is under the control of coalition factions in southern Yemen, local sources told Yemen Press Agency.
The sources said that clashes broke out between members of Bakazim tribe in al-Mahfad district due to a dispute over a plot of land that left four dead and others injured.
The sources added that the factions of UAE-backed “Southern Transitional Council” that control the district did not interfere in the dispersal of clashes between tribal militants, indicating that tribal mediation from sheikhs of Shabwa intervened to stop the confrontations.
