Dry, warm weather expected to sweep desert areas of Yemen

SANAA, Sept. 10 (YPA)) – The National Center of Meteorology expects warm and dry weather sweeping the desert areas, with maximum temperatures ranging between 36-41 degrees Celsius.

In its weather forecast, the center affirmed that the weather would hot and humid in the coastal areas and the Socotra Archipelago, with temperatures ranging between 33-39 degrees.

The center indicated the possibility of scattered rain in some areas of the provinces of Taiz, Ibb, Rayma, Mahweet, Dhamar, Hajjah, Amran and Saada, extending west to parts of Abyan and Shabwa highlands.

According to the center, moderate to active winds may blow around the Socotra Archipelago and parts of the southern and eastern coasts, reaching its speeds between 12-30 knots.

It warned citizens of the hot weather in desert areas, inland plateaus, coastal areas, and the Socotra Archipelago.
