3 officials of Yemeni football federation kidnapped in Abyan

ABYAN, Sept. 04 (YPA) – Elements of UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) factions on Monday kidnapped three officials of the Yemeni football federation in Abyan province, who were on their way to the city of Aden.

Informed sources reported that the elements of the ”security belt” in Al-Mahfad area, kidnapped the presidents of the Football Federation in the provinces of Jawf, Marib, and Saada, Khalid Ali Mohsen al-Ghanmi, Saleh Mohammed Saleh al-Hawani, and Ali Muthanna Razeh, they were on a car belonging to a person named Mardhi Hassan Saleh al-Antari and they were taken to an unknown destination.

The sources pointed out that the leader Fahd Al-Marfadi refused to release the heads of the three branches of the Football Federation and their escorts who were on their way to Aden and from there to the Egyptian capital Cairo to attend the meeting of the General Assembly of the Federation.
