UAE-backed militia storms university residence for northern students in Ataq

SHABWA, Aug 30 (YPA) –  A force affiliated with the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council ( STC),  on Wednesday stormed a university residence for students from a northern governorate in Ataq city, the capital of Shabwa province.

Local sources confirmed that military forces belonging to the Shabwa Defense Forces stormed the university student residence in Al-Hamid buildings in Al-Nasab neighborhood in the city of Ataq, and arrested a number of students from Marib governorate.

The Shabwa Defense has previously prevented the entry of travelers from the northern governorates to the city of Ataq, and carried out regional deportation campaigns against them.
