Saudi fighter jet crashed in Dhahran area

RAYDH, Aug. 29 (YPA) – The Saudi Ministry of Defense announced that a European-made Tornado fighter jet crashed in the eastern area of the KSA.

“A Royal Saudi Air Force fighter plane of the type (Tornado) fell during a routine training mission in the training area of King Abdulaziz Air Base in Dhahran,” Brigadier General Turki Al-Maliki, the spokesman for the ministry, said.

Al-Maliki confirmed the survival of the air crew after they used the two life chairs, and that there were no injuries or losses on the ground as a result of the plane crash.

Panavia Tornado” is a multi-tasking combat aircraft used as a chase and bomber, and it is a joint European production in which Britain, Germany and Italy participate.
