13 members of al-Shabaab group killed in southern Somalia
WORLD, Aug 27 (YPA) – Somali authorities announced on Saturday that 13 members of al-Shabaab militants were killed in the south of the country during the military operation of the Somali army.
The Somali National News Agency reported that the country’s army, in cooperation with international partners, carried out a military operation in the Juba area.

According to the agency, the Somali army recently carried out planned military operations against al-Shabaab leaders and members.
On Friday, the army had killed 27 al-Shabab members in a military operation in the south of the country.
The Somali army has recently stepped up its operations to crack down on al-Qaeda-linked al-Shabaab militants.
The al-Shabaab terrorist group is an armed group affiliated with the al-Qaeda terrorist network and has claimed responsibility for many terrorist operations that have killed hundreds of people in Africa.
