Video footage shows last moments of Sheikh Adel Obaid Al-Azibi

LAJJ, Aug 24 (YPA) – Activists on social media platforms posted on Wednesday a painful video footage showing  the assassination of a prominent tribal sheikh in the southern Yemeni province of Lahj.

The official spokesman for the Southern Revolutionary Movement, Mohammed Al-Nu’mani wrote in a post on his X account, that the video was filmed during “the assassination of Sheikh Adel Obaid Al-Azibi, brother of Sheikh Ali Obaid Al-Azibi, one of the most prominent sheikhs of the Sabr district in Lahj.

According to al-Nu’mani, he was assassinated by a leader in the UAE-backed armed factions and a former leader of Al-Qaeda” “Abdulhadi Faraj”.

The video clip shows a group of citizens gathering in front of the body of the dead man as he took his last breath, where one of the crowds says that “Abdulhadi Faraj” is the one who shot the victim in the head.
