Electricity Corporation in Aden issues important statement

ADEN, Aug 21 (YPA) -The General Electricity Corporation of Aden, on Sunday, announced that its operating stations have been suspended, causing power outages in the neighborhoods of the city, which is under the control of Saudi-led coalition’s factions.

The corporation accused the pro-coalition government and the “Presidential Leadership Council”, of ignoring its demands to provide sufficient fuel to operate power plants.

“All our repeated appeals have not received a real response to ensure the continuity of the generation system, which led to the cessation of more than 80% of the system from service in light of the high volume of energy demand, in addition to exacerbating the suffering of the citizens of the province due to the long hours of power outages during the summer and entering the city in complete darkness,” said the corporation in a statement this evening.

The power outage in Aden caused many death cases, including the elderly and the sick.
