ABYAN, Aug. 20 (YPA) – Angry protests were staged in Zinjibar district of Abyan province, south of Yemen, to denounce the deterioration of basic services.
In a protest rally, dozens of protesters confirmed that the protests came the deteriorating conditions, the collapse of the currency, and the power outages in the province.
The protesters said that they would continue to protest until the so-called Saudi-formed Presidential Leadership Council meets their basic demands.
The protesters chanted slogans demanding the provision of basic services and the reform of general conditions in the province.
The province is witnessing the spread of the security chaos in the areas under the control of the coalition-backed armed factions.
