SANAA, Aug 14 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology expected on Tuesday the rainy weather sweeping various areas of Yemeni provinces.
The center said, in its daily weather bulletin, that medium and heavy rains will prevail over the provinces of Saada, Amran, Hajjah, Mahweet, Sanaa, Rayma, Dhamar, Ibb, Dhalea, and Bayda.
It added that the rain may extend into parts of the highlands of Taiz, Lahj, Abyan, Shabwa, Jawf, Marib, as well as Hadramout and Mahra.
It is possible that strong to very strong winds will blow around the Socotra archipelago, with speeds ranging between 30-40 knots, and active on the southern and eastern coasts and the entrance to Bab al-Mandab, with speeds reaching between 15-30 knots.
The center called on citizens to take away from valleys and water ways due to soil and rocks slides and as a result of rains.
