Violent explosion rocks industrial area in Tel Aviv

OCCUPIED QUDS, Aug. 15 (YPA) – A massive explosion jolted a facility in an industrial zone in the city of Ramat Hasharon, north of Tel Aviv, on Tuesday, according to Israeli media.

The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation, “Kan”, said, “Information has been received about a serious explosion at a cooperative factory in Ramat Hasharon.”

The Hebrew website “Ynet” reported news of an “unusual event in the industrial zone in Ramat Hasharon.” It added, “According to reports, an explosion was heard and a flash of light was observed.”

The Fire and Rescue Authority said that the accident is under control, noting that there is no fear of dangerous materials leaking.

The authority added that the circumstances of the explosion would be subject to further investigation by professional investigators and officials at the factory where the accident occurred.
