Russia makes new remarks regarding peace process in Yemen

MOSCOW, Aug 10 (YPA) – Chargé d’affaires of the Russian Embassy in Yemen, Evgeny Kudrov, affirmed on Thursday his country’s readiness to support all efforts made by the UN envoy in Yemen to revive the peace process.

The ambassador said on “X” that he informed the UN envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, during a meeting was held between two sides in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, of Moscow’s principled position regarding the need for dialogue, and taking into account the views of all conflicting parties without exception, to push towards a settlement in Yemen.

“Moscow’s conviction that progress in dialogue is impossible without the active mediating role of the United Nations,” Kudrov added.

The ambassador stated that the meeting discussed a number of pressing issues in the Yemeni settlement, including the latest developments on the ground.
