Sanaa strongly condemns closure of several Yemeni media channels on “YouTube”

SANAA, Aug. 03 (YPA) – The Ministry of Information in Sanaa condemned the “YouTube” management’s closure and deletion of national Yemeni media channels.

In a statement issued, the ministry considered that as a deliberate targeting of the Yemeni media and an attempt to silence the free Yemeni voice, and withholding the truth from international public opinion regarding the violations and crimes committed by the US-Saudi-Emirati coalition against the Yemeni people for nearly nine years.

The statement pointed out that the closure of dozens of Yemeni channels on YouTube is an attack on the guaranteed freedom of expression and publishing.

The Ministry of Information called on the concerned and related authorities to take the necessary and decisive measures towards targeting the Yemeni media by YouTube.

It called on the free media outlets to show solidarity with the Yemeni media channels and to adopt unified positions against the hostile policies adopted by the “YouTube” company.
