9 people killed due to bad weather in Russia’s Volga region

WORLD, July 30 (YPA) – Bad weather conditions in the Volga federal department killed nine people and injured 67 others, a source in the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations told the media on Sunday.

The source pointed out that bad weather has been going on since yesterday and hit eight regions of the Volga federal department.

According to the source, these areas witnessed strong rainstorms accompanied by winds of up to 27 knots.

In recent days, Moscow and its suburbs have also witnessed heavy rains, accompanied by winds and lack of visibility in some areas, and some roads in the capital were flooded.
