Aden plagues darkness after electricity service goes out completely

ADEN, July 27 (YPA) -The General Electricity Corporation of Aden announced on Wednesday that electricity service has been completely stopped in the city.

The  Corporation explained that the process of gradual exit of “rented” power purchase stations from service began, according to informing the Aden Electricity Control Department that their stations stopped completely on Thursday morning, after the delay in paying their financial dues by the concerned authorities.

The people of the southern governorates have been living in great suffering as a result of power outages, the deterioration of basic services, the collapse of the Yemeni riyal, the rise in food prices, the lack of domestic gas and other crises that have burdened them.
