Sanaa warns of dust wave sweeping Yemen provinces

SANAA, July. 24 (YPA) – Yemen’s Civil Defense Authority in Sanaa warned on Monday of a dust wave sweeping most of the provinces of Yemen.

in an urgent statement, the authority’s Operations and Visual Monitoring Room confirmed that the forecast for the weather indicates a widespread dust wave will sweep most of the provinces, including the capital, Sanaa, as well as a state of instability in the atmosphere on the western mountainous heights and parts of the internal plateaus.

The statement called on citizens to avoid the impact of the dust wave and the accompanying decrease in horizontal vision in some highways and open areas.

It called also on motorists to drive carefully on the roads due to the low level of visibility, in order to preserve their safety from road accidents.
