MAHRA, July. 23 (YPA) – Saudi Arabia suspended on Sunday the salaries of the so-called “Tasks” battalion belonging to the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) in Mahra province.
According to media sources reported that the commander of the Saudi forces in the province informed the commander of Al-Ghaydah military axis and the commander of the Second Military region to dispense with the “Tasks” battalion, which was established by the STC and receiving its salaries from Saudi Arabia.
The Saudi officer ordered to hand over the salaries to the military police in the province.
Earlier, the commander of the Saudi forces in Mahra held a meeting with the commander of the second military region in Hadramout and the commander of Al-Ghaydah axis, on the sidelines of the visit of the Minister of Defense in the pro-coalition government to the province.
