Hadrami Revolt declares armed siege on Seiyun city

SANAA, July. 18 (YPA) – The so-called UAE-funded “Second Hadrami Revolt” announced its armed siege of the city of Seiyun, the center of Islah Party militants-held Hadramout province.

The Hadrami Revolt said in a statement it strengthened the popular points in al-Radoud and Raseb areas, with militants and equipment, in reference to its control of the areas in Wadi district of Hadramout by force of arms.

The statement condemned the military move by the Islah factions in the “First Military Zone” at the entrances and exits of Wadi district, in conjunction with the popular mobilization forces in Al-Radoud area.

The “Second Hadrami Uprising” loyal to the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) seeks to impose its control over the Islah factions-held districts of the province after preventing the Saudi Arabia prevented the STC from heading towards the districts, under the pretext of preventing the “local authority” from tampering with the resources of Hadramout.

This coincided with the arrival of the Minister of Defense of the pro-coalition government to the “Second Military Region” loyal to the UAE.
