Gang abducts five people, including son of military commander loyal to coalition in Shabwa

SHABWA, July 15 (YPA) – An armed gang kidnapped Mohammed Aziz al-Ateeqi, son of the former commander of Ataq axis loyal to Saudi-led coalition along with four of his companions last Wednesday while they were passing through Wadi Khora in Markha district of Shabwa province, eastern Yemen.

According to local sources, the gang demanded a large ransom for the release of the abductees, and so far, there has been no agreement between the kidnappers and the families of the abductees.

Shabwa governorate has been witnessing unprecedented chaos and deterioration of security in light of the failure of the pro-coalition governor of Shabwa, to impose the security in the province, as popular demands increased, calling for his dismissal due to its failure in all fields.
