Supreme Council of State in Libya selects Mezoughi to head mini-government

WORLD, June 19 (YPA) – The former presidential candidate Mohammed Mezoughi has been selected as candidate to head a “mini-government” that the “6 + 6” committee agreed to form recently, media office of the Supreme  Council of State in Libya reported on Sunday evening.

The media office said in a statement via Facebook that a number of council members met with “candidate for prime minister, Mohamed Mezoughi,” within the framework of “consultation and communication regarding the formation of a crisis government or a mini-government.”

It added that the meeting, which was held at the Council’s office in Tripoli, focused on the future vision of the candidate, through his answers to some of the members’ questions about his government program.

The statement explained that the meeting comes within “the desire of all parties to establish a single government that extends its control and influence over the entire territory of the country and to create the appropriate climate and conditions for holding elections acceptable to all.”
