Fierce battles break out between Al-Sabiha tribes, STC in Lahj

Lahj, June 17 (YPA) – Violent clashes broke out between the tribes of Al-Sabiha and the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s factions in Lahj province, southern Yemen.

This was reported by Yemen News Portal based on testimonies of local sources.

According to the sources, the clashes erupted after the STC forces turned areas in Al-Sabiha into military sites and refused to withdraw.

The sources added that the tribes of Al-Sabiha attacked the positions of the STC’s forces and took control of sites, including what is known as Salah al-Din airport.
