Al-Fadl tribes mobilize their militants to Dofas in Abyan

ABYAN, June 16 (YPA) – Khanfar district in Abyan province has been witnessing tensions that could trigger armed confrontations between factions of the UAE’-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) and the Al Fadl tribes in the “Dofas” area.

Local sources in the province reported that the tribes of Al-Fadl are mobilizing their gunmen to the “Dofas” area amid military reinforcements of the STC factions led by Abdul Latif Al-Sayed, who has occupied large areas of Al-Fadl’s lands in the region.

The sources indicated that the leader brought a number of “bulldozers” escorted by number of military vehicles to the area, to start the work of capturing of the lands, during the past few hours

This comes after the STC factions extended their control over large areas of fishermen’s land in the Al-Mutala’ coast in the Al-Khod area of Khanfar district last December and turned it into a camp for the UAE.
