SANAA, May 06 (YPA) – Rains of varying intensity is to be expected to prevail over several Yemeni provinces during the coming 24 hours, the National Center of Meteorology said.
The center said, in its weather bulletin on Friday, that the rains, accompanied by thunderstorms, will targeted parts of Saada, Taiz, Dhalea, Lahj, Bayda, Abyan and Shabwa, Amran, Hajjah, Mahweet, Sanaa, Dhamar, Raymah and Ibb.
It pointed to the possibility of sporadic rain in the deserts of Jawf, Marib, Hadramout, Mahra, the western coasts, Tihama plain, and parts of the Socotra archipelago.
The center warned citizens in areas of heavy rains not to be in the torrential ways and valleys during and after the rains.
The bulletin called motorists to drive carefully due to a decrease in the range of horizontal visibility on mountainous roads, as well as rockslides due the rainfall.
