Israeli “Ofer” prison witnesses tension, alert after prisoner Khader Adnan’s death

OCCUPIED PALESTINE, May 02 (YPA) -The Palestinian Prisoners Club announced on Tuesday that a state of extreme alert prevails in “Ofer” prison near the town of Beitunia, west of Ramallah, after a prisoner confronted a warden over the death of the prisoner, Khader Adnan.

The Prisoners’ Club said in a statement today that the prison administration fired gas bombs at the prisoners, which resulted in a number of them suffocating.

In the same context, the “Islamic Jihad Movement” described the death of the prisoner, Khader Adnan, after 86 days of hunger strike as “a crime… that will not go unanswered.”

In turn, the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned, in the strongest terms, the heinous crime committed by the Zionist occupation authorities, which led to the martyrdom of Sheikh Khader Adnan.  It also held the Israeli government “full and direct responsibility for this crime.”
